Airport Layout Plan

Economic Impact of Vero Beach Airport

The City of Vero Beach is embarking on a new community outreach study that will serve as an important tool in planning for the future of the Vero Beach Municipal Airport.

With the support of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), the City of Vero Beach is preparing an Airport Master Plan for the Vero Beach Municipal Airport. This will be an 18-month project.

The airport operating environment has dramatically evolved over the past 20 years; thus, a new roadmap to guide the future of the airport is critical. While facilities and infrastructure needs will be reviewed in accordance with FAA regulations, we will also look closely at financial self-sufficiency, strategies for business and economic growth, continued environmental stewardship, and alignment with community needs.

We need your ideas! Public meetings will be scheduled for Early 2015 and take place at City Hall (Council Chambers). Please join us and let us know:

  • What issues are important to the community?
  • What is your vision for a future Vero Beach Municipal Airport?

Please help us spread the word about these meetings by posting in your community, emailing to organization members, or posting to your website. If you have any questions, please contact Eric Menger at emenger@covb.org or call (772) 978-4930 x103.
